City office and town hall Heerlen

Solid Air Climate Solutions supplied various products for the renovation of the Municipal Office and Town Hall in Heerlen. The old building of the Municipal Office has been demolished and a compact office was completed in October 2021. After the completion of the Municipal Office, the monumental Council House was renovated. The two separate buildings are linked together. Heerlen’s city center has gained a new and special building.

The new and modern building is equipped with variable volume controls (VAV). These are used in the air transport system to be able to vary the air quantity depending on the occupancy demand (for example on the basis of CO2 or temperature). This design saves energy. The Solid Air grilles used are both perforated and swirl grilles. This means that the air is blown in draught-free, resulting in a comfortable indoor climate.
