Bouwplus: Fire safety

In the Bouwplus edition ‘fire safety’, our technical advisors Arjan Sikkens and Martin Timmermans talk about our new fire damper with smoke sensor. The new fire damper detects cold smoke in the ventilation ducts at an early stage.

As of 1 July 2021, the Building Decree has been tightened, partly on the basis of European rules. Fire dampers now in most cases also have to react to smoke colder than 72°C. In addition to the ventilation duct, the sensors can also be placed in the room.
